Access control provides a fully integrated approach to security for multi-tenancy sites. It works seamlessly with other Gallagher access control products to improve site efficiency and reduce costs.
Biometric enrolment and template management are conducted directly through the Command Centre for fast, simple credential issuance. Contactless options like finger touch and hygienic contactless access help maintain hygiene protocols.
Biometrics
Gallagher's biometric integration offers a cardless, fast way to ensure people are identified correctly. With traditional finger touch and hygienic contactless options, your fingerprint or face is your credential. Enrolment and template management can be conducted directly through the Gallagher Command Centre, saving time and increasing security.
Idemia's MorphoWave and VisionPass biometric readers support COVID-19 by detecting elevated body temperature at the medial canthus (tear duct). This information is sent to Gallagher access control Command Centre, which will notify users if an alarm condition has been triggered when access is denied. For example, suppose someone presents themselves to the reader while wearing a face mask or with an elevated temperature. In that case, they will be denied access, and the alarm will be logged in the Command Centre for future analysis.
Door Access Control
Gallagher access control allows you to manage your system by granting or blocking access to your premises with a swipe of a card or a button on a mobile device. This creates a fluid and calm environment with minimal stress for staff, managers, or site owners.
The system's heart is a distributed access controller (C7000) that connects to alarm sensors, readers, locks, turnstiles, and lifts. It handles intruder alarm functions and provides 256 alarm zones. It also offers programmable controller-based logic and peer-to-peer controller communication and works as a standalone solution without a server.
The C7000's proximity system uses encrypted RFID tags scanned by Gallagher readers, which send data to the system's access panel. The panel compares this information with what is stored in the database and signals to the lock that it's safe to open. The system can be configured to allow or block all door types and can be connected to various external devices using HBUS modules.
Visitor Management
Gallagher Security's centralized software platform unifies Gallagher access control, intruder alarms, and perimeter security with a robust visitor management system to ensure business continuity, create efficiencies, and protect what matters most.
When someone waves an access card or mobile credential over a reader, it sends a request to a controller, quickly determining whether that person is authorized to enter. If it is, the controller signals to the door lock to unlock.
Visitors can also gain entry with a mobile credential that works like an access card but has the added convenience of providing mobile badging, automated SMS messages, and seamless integration with building management systems. An optional licensed Visitor Management feature offers extensive pre-registration and reception-based visitor management functions, including touch-screen-enabled self-registration kiosks.
Reliable door, zone, and turnstile status reporting removes the need for manual inspections and enables you to identify issues and resolve them quickly.
